Suddenly Diamonds from Lidl

Edit: This has just released in Ireland  but is not out in the UK yet. Get it while it's hot!!

Dia daoibh!

So there I was, browsing around my local Lidl store taking advantage of its 50% off Fruit and vegetables (feeling the urge to get back to my juicing/shed a few pounds before Christmas!) when I spotted something in the personal care section that stopped me in my tracks!

It's their new perfume 'Suddenly Diamonds'. You may have heard of the first release 'Suddenly Madame Glamour' which was a huge hit, as many noticed that it was very similar to the infamous and pricey Chanel Coco Mademoiselle.

I gave Suddenly Diamonds a quick spritz and immediately recognised it..... but can't match it to what.... aarrrrrghhh!! I will update this as soon as I do. I'm thinking it could be a dupe for Giorgio Armani Diamonds? Alisha over on my Facebook Page thinks it's a copy of Hugo Boss - BOSS Orange and now that she mentions it... I think it could be. And what do you know, the outer packaging is extremely similar also - white box with orange traced diamonds and an outer line of silver.

I much prefer it to Madame Glamour as I found that a tad too spicy, verging on granny! This is a "younger" scent. It's still slightly aromatic but has a freshness to it. It's fresh in smooth way rather than a citric or floral way so I'm guessing there may be some vanilla or even lily mixed in there. There is no description of notes on the box which is annoying but the main thing is, it's smells good. Below are the ingredients in case they mean something to someone!

Packaging is nothing too exciting -  a rectangular prism glass bottle with a square silver lid. It is an Eau de Parfum but doesn't linger as long as most of my other EDP's - perhaps 4 hours.  I highly recommend giving it a sniff though, as it's a steal at just €3.99 for 50mls!

Slán!

I agree with this one!

I work in Lidl and had to buy like 4 bottles. My Mum likes the other one but it's a little 'old' for me whereas this one is really fresh and fruity.

I will warn you, however, that this is currently on a while stocks last basis so I'd stock up if you like it. There is always a possibility that it will become a permanent line if it does well but, for now, when it's gone it's gone!
